Background

The name “Two-Six-Five” pays tribute to my family’s baseball history:

2 The Catchers: Joe Kal and my younger brother, Tim Kal
6  The Shortstop: my older brother, Brian Kal
5 The Third Basemen: our dad and grandpa, Ron and Leo Kalczynski

This moment has been decades in the making, and the time feels right. By starting my own Academy, I can use the past 18 years of summer baseball experience, along with two decades in the classroom at Brother Rice, to systematically provide a world-class youth baseball experience for families who are interested.

The Mission

  • Focusing primarily on Player Development over winning Tournaments.
  • Building Baseball I.Q. (an advanced understanding of the game)
  • Supporting multi-sport athletes.
  • Fostering a healthy balance of family life with sports life.
  • Helping create a sense of pride in our son’s baseball identity.
  • Creating something bigger than ourselves that each stakeholder can feel proud to be a part of.
  • Training parents, coaches, and players to embrace a healthy circle of affirmation during practices and games.
  • Giving families, that are fatigued by traditional travel sports, an alternative that brings life to their family.
  • Provide unique and priceless family experiences through baseball.
